MACINTOSH MEMORY MANAGEMENT

If your Macintosh computer meets the minimum system requirements for this sampler disk and you still experience performance problems or receive a message that there is not enough memory to open "Headbone Sampler CD" try the following steps to make more memory available:
1. Quit any other applications that you have running, including shell programs like "At Ease," "Launcher," etc. Also be sure to turn off screen savers.
2. Remove any extensions that you are not using. To remove extensions, open the "extensions" folder from within the system folder on your hard disk. Drag unnecessary extensions to a folder called something like "Extensions (Disabled)" or to another location on your hard disk. After you have removed the extensions, restart your computer.
3. Make sure to turn Virtual Memory off. Select the "Control Panels" option under the apple menu, and open the "Memory" Control Panel. Select the "off" option under Virtual Memory. You may also try lowering the disk cache size to improve performance. After you have made changes to the memory settings, restart your computer.

POWERMAC USERS

If you have a PowerMac computer that meets the minimum system requirements but you are experiencing a system error when attempting to run the program, you may be experiencing an extension conflict. Try the following steps to resolve the conflict:
1. Check to see if you have the "QuickTime¬ PowerPlug" extension in the Extensions folder in your System Folder. If you do, disable it by dragging it to another folder called something like "Extensions (Disabled)" or to another location on your hard disk. The "Extensions Manager" Control Panel included with Apple System 7.5 allows you to easily disable an extension by unchecking it from a list. Once you have disabled the extension, restart your computer and try running the "Headbone Sampler CD" again.
2. If step 1 did not solve your problem, try removing all extensions that you are not using. After you have removed the extensions, restart your computer and try running the "Headbone Sampler CD" again.
